Shriners Hospitals for Children® – Boston is one of the world’s leading centers for treating children with severe burns or those who need reconstructive surgery for scars or cleft lip and palate – regardless of ability to pay.
Affiliated with Massachusetts General Hospital, Shriners-Boston has provided expert round-the-clock care for pediatric patients at our downtown Boston location since our establishment in 1968. In addition, all physician members of our medical staff hold teaching appointments with Harvard Medical School.
Our areas of specialization and care include: acute-burn treatment; reconstructive corrective surgery for cleft lip and palate, congenital issues and traumatic or burn injury; plastic and laser surgery for healed burns, post-trauma scars, vascular birthmarks and skin disorders; modern scar treatment; and scar rehabilitation with occupational/physical therapy.
